Secondary Course (10th Standard): This course is equivalent to the secondary education provided by traditional schools. Senior Secondary Course (12th Standard): This course is equivalent to the senior secondary education provided by traditional schools. It offers various subject options, including English, Hindi, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Mass Communication, and more.

Vocational Courses : NIOS provides vocational courses to equip learners with specific skills and knowledge for employment or entrepreneurship. These courses cover a wide range of areas such as computer and information technology, agriculture, business and commerce, tourism and hospitality, healthcare and paramedical sciences, engineering and technology, fashion and textile design, and more.

Open Basic Education (OBE) : NIOS offers the Open Basic Education program for learners who could not complete their primary, middle, or secondary education. This program aims to provide basic literacy and numeracy skills to learners and help them attain functional literacy. It includes three levels: OBE Level A (equivalent to Class III), OBE Level B (equivalent to Class V), and OBE Level C (equivalent to Class VIII).

Life Enrichment Programs : NIOS also offers various life enrichment programs that focus on the holistic development of learners. These programs cover diverse areas such as yoga, creative writing, painting, photography, music, and more. They aim to promote personal growth, creativity, and overall well-being.

D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) : NIOS provides the Diploma in Elementary Education program for aspiring teachers. It includes subjects such as child development and pedagogy, language teaching, mathematics teaching, environmental studies, and more.
